I'm a big Kurzweil fan in case you guys hadn't noticed, so I thought that it might be a good idea to devote a thread to the great man. I'll start this off with this recent interview by Glenn Beck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1o5yB2oLyo(hmmm..solar power is looking good in the near future, it would seem)

A panel of 25 AI scientists, roboticists, and ethical and legal scholars (under the auspices of The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) finds there to be little likelihood of a technical "Singularity" in the foreseeable future, according to a recent New Scientist article. The results of their investigation into the risks of AI was presented at the International Joint Conference for Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) in Pasadena, California, on 15 July.
